Meet the team: Melissa Loh
Meet Melissa, our Founding Enterprise AE!
My name is Melissa, and I am currently a Founding AE at OneSchema. Outside of work, I love cooking, baking, and eating—I'm passionate about all things food-related and have been running a food blog as a side hustle for a little while now. Additionally, I am a military spouse and enjoy spending time volunteering in that community.
Right before joining OneSchema, I was selling cybersecurity solutions at Cloudflare, which was my first job in tech! But in a prior life before tech, I was a Program Administrator for a Military Transition Program at USC, where I helped Navy SEALs and their families transition from military to civilian life. I managed logistics, community outreach, and fundraising efforts.
And even before that, I worked extensively with military and veteran families at the USO in New York and for two Marine Corps Family Readiness Commands: MCAS Miramar and the First Marine Corps District, Recruiting Command.
With my nonprofit background and experience working in military transitions, I found that I truly enjoy building processes and creating systems. Finding a startup that could combine my skills in relationship building and communication with my passion for process efficiency made joining an early-stage startup incredibly appealing.
I also live by the motto, 'Work as hard as you can, when you can.' I'm at a point in my life where I want to ensure I'm doing everything I can to succeed—for myself, my child, and others like me. Grinding at an early-stage startup fulfills this goal for me.
Founding Enterprise AE - on the obvious that means i sell things to business so that they are better equipped to serve their customers. In reality, it means finding companies that fit our product well, and leveling up the logos that Oneschema has. It also means having a hand in creating sales processes and mentoring BDRs aspiring to be closers one day.
People! There is something great about getting to talk to people about “nothing” and laugh at jokes, poke fun at nuances, and connect verbally. We’re humans - humans thrive around other humans, I am no exception to this rule =)
