Arkestro is on a journey to redefine how procurement is done. Today, procurement practitioners often negotiate with suppliers with the same Excel spreadsheets that they’ve been using for the past 20 years. There’s no standard practice or template, which means the buyer and seller have to spend the first part of their engagement on deciphering the spreadsheets and finding common understandings. 

One of Arkestro’s unique innovations is how their Predictive Procurement Orchestration platform combines proprietary machine learning, game theory, and data science models on historical data to help customers save an average of 16% on quotable spend within the first 60 days. 

Focusing their team on the company’s core competencies of machine learning and data science meant a build vs buy evaluation on spreadsheet imports, one way they often receive data from their clients. They needed a solution that would meet all their current functional requirements, but could also scale alongside the company. 

Before OneSchema, Arkestro used a homegrown solution with a third-party tool. It was “kludgy.” The experience and the ability for the team to respond to defects left much to be desired.
